A template is a pre-built scenario set for a common IT opening: prompt, expert path, regex bank, rubric weighting, ready to attach to a posting. We maintain them; we update them when the underlying tooling changes; we do not run a marketplace where the L2 helpdesk template you clone is two years stale. Fork one, tweak the prompt, send it tonight.
12 roles, 113 scenarios across them, monthly maintenance cadence
Printers, MFA resets, stale AD accounts, the calls that come in on monday.
Escalations, the ones L1 punted, plus the field tech runbook, domain-aware.
VLAN re-keying, BGP flap, OSPF cost, the carrier-handoff cases.
Datacenter routing, multi-site IGP, DDoS triage with carrier-on-call.
Phish triage, SIEM rule write, IR runbook drills, the tuesday inbox.
Pentest finding triage, CVE rollout, hardening audits, post-mortem write.
AWS, k8s on EKS, IAM roll-back, cost-of-mistake scenarios.
Multi-region failover, k8s OOM, pager-shaped on-call, post-incident review.
RHEL, Bash, LVM, perf tuning, the long-running ticket that no one wants.
Prompt audit, model rollout sanity, ethics, the new role most teams have not shaped yet.
Cross-domain, MSP-flavored, the ticket queue from a 200-seat shop.
Shadow scenarios scoped tight, grades on methodology not outcomes. The on-ramp.
A template is the same four fields the composer asks for (prompt, expert path, regex bank, rubric weighting) multiplied by 6 to 12 scenarios that cover the shape of the role. When you clone one, you get an editable copy in your composer; change the prompt to match your stack, tweak the regex bank for your CLI, adjust the weights. The grading code is unchanged.
Marketplaces for templates are a cost center that gets sold as a network effect. The L2 helpdesk template someone wrote in 2022 will not catch the entra-v2 MFA flow. The template they wrote thirty seconds ago has not been tested by anyone. We keep the gallery small and we maintain it; monthly updates on the recently-touched, quarterly review on the rest. You can still build your own; the composer is right there. We just will not pretend the long-tail is helping you.
I forked L1 helpdesk on a tuesday. Sent it to 22 candidates on wednesday. Closed two of them by friday. No one asked me about a template marketplace.
